TimesheetYou have to fill up a timesheet every week, or one timesheet per position if you are working for more than one
company during the same week. Even when you send us your timesheet by fax (514-871-9817) or by e-mail (accounting@alterego.jobs), you have to mail us the original copy as well.
Your timesheet must include:
- Your Social Insurance Number (SIN).
- Your full name.
- The name of the company to which you have been assigned through Alter Ego.
- Everyday: the time of your arrival, the time of your departure, as well as the duration of your lunch breaks.
Write the total number of daily worked hours, excluding the meals.
- The date of the Sunday ending the week in which you have worked.
(Example: for Monday November 9th -> Week finishing Sunday November 15th).
- The total number of hours worked for the period.
- Overtime. Overtime will be paid according to the policy set by the company to which you have been assigned by Alter Ego.
Talk to your counselor in order to find out about the firm’s policy for temporary personnel. However, according to the law,
overtime should be paid (time and a half) after a work week of 40 hours.
- The signature of your superior, as well as his or her phone number along with his or her extension number.

Conditions
The deadline for the reception of timesheets is the Tuesday following the week you have worked, before noon. If your timesheet has not been sent
at this moment, your pay will be delayed to the following week.
Direct Deposit: Please send us a voided cheque on which figure your name, the name of your bank, the transit number of your bank and your account number.
Your pay will be deposited in your bank account on Thursdays.
Taxation and Other Deductions
Every employee is taxed as a single individual, unless he or she filled the proper government form.
Aside from income taxes, Employment Insurance, Q.P.P. (Quebec Pension Plan) and Q.P.I.P. (Quebec Parental Insurance Plan) will also be deducted from your pay.
Statutory Holidays
As per the Labour Standards, the following statutory holidays will be compensated for, if all conditions are met (To be eligible for holiday compensation you should not be absent the work day preceding nor the work day following the holiday without the written authorization of your consultant at Alter Ego.
The compensation corresponds to 1/20 of the wages earned during the four complete weeks of pay preceding the week of the holiday, excluding overtime.):

- January 1st (New Year’s Day)
- Good Friday or Easter Monday
- The Monday preceding May 25th (National Patriots’ Day)
- June 24th (National Holiday)

- July 1st. If this date falls on a Sunday: July 2nd
- The 1st Monday in September (Labour Day)
- The 2nd Monday in October (Thanksgiving)
- December 25th (Christmas Day)

Change of Address
We must have a valid mailing address at all times in order to be able to send you your pay slips, and more importantly your tax papers (T4 and Relevé 1).
Make sure you advise your consultant at Alter Ego of any change in your address (including the apartment number) as soon as possible.

Let your counselor know:
- When you are looking for a job
- When you think you are going to be more than 15 minutes late for work
- When you are unable to work (permanent position, health problems, vacations, etc.)
- If you encounter problems during your assignment (change of tasks, etc.)
If you think you are going to be late for work, DO NOT CONTACT THE EMPLOYER DIRECTLY. Immediately call your counselor, and he or she will call the employer and let him/her know. Only call the employer if your counselor is not available.
